Amelie and I don't get out much, to be honest. We don't know many people here with kids, and those I've met through Mommy & Baby group are all pretty much stay at home mommies who spend afternoon/evenings with their significant other (as they should). But for our family, Daddy goes to sleep in the late afternoon/evening, and that leaves Amelie and I to sit at home and cuddle. Sometimes we take a walk, and sometimes we go shopping, but for the most part we are perched on the corner of the couch for a marathon nursing session as soon as I get out of work. One thing we do look forward to every week, though, is our Saturday Mommy & Baby Group at the Birth & Women's Health Center in Tucson. It's a great time for me to relate to other mommies and Amelie gets a chance to socialize with other babies her age! Also, it's a great time for photo shoots, since Amelie has the backdrop of the big white sheet to showcase her bright blue eyes and whatever cute outfit she has on that day :) Case in point:

Since babies are recommended to sleep on their backs to reduce the risk of SIDS, Tummy Time is encouraged during awake hours to help babies develop their neck muscles. Amelie is a little lazy on her tummy time mat, but does push ups like a pro on our chests. Sometimes I try our luck on the Boppy.
Lately she just likes to lick everything ;)
Aaand then she gets lazy again ;)

We met up with another couple for dinner out (first time with Amelie out at a restaurant TOGETHER!) and I dressed Amelie up in a pretty dress. Of course I forgot to take pictures of Amelie and her little boyfriend Wyatt while we were there, but they mostly each hung out in their respective car seats the entire time anyway. Ami slept half the time! Regardless, here are some shots of her cute outfit prior to getting buckled into her seat.
She then proceeded to make funny faces at me.
