I'm really not a fan of being in the hospital. The whole lack of sleep thing continued throughout my 4 day stay, with even more added interruptions! Now in addition to nurses coming in to check on me (cesarean incision, catheter, pain meds, etc), they were also coming in to check on Amelie. Plus there were techs coming in to do my blood pressure regularly and bring food (if you can call it that), along with other folks who wanted to clean the room or stock something. It never failed that JUUUUST as I'd finally close my eyes and find the sweet world of slumber, someone would come barging in and wake me up. It was rather ridiculous, actually, and would've been comical had I not been so utterly exhausted.
Thankfully, I had this beautiful little face to keep me going on 1-2 hrs of sleep/day:
To pass the time in the hospital (when I wasn't nursing or changing my darling girl), I took LOTS of pictures. Probably too many for most people to be interested in (and it's only a fraction!), but I'm guessing Amelie's Nana will be happy I'm posting these ;) I look at the time stamps on these photos and laugh, because they represent pretty much every hour of each day, round the clock (nope, no sleep to be had ;)
