I'm still 'sleeping' on the recliner (I get an average of 3 hrs in 24 hrs, maybe?? Unless KC gives her a bottle and lets me take a nap, then maybe a couple hours more). This means that my days and nights are pretty much the same thing.

Honestly, I'm amazed by how well I can survive on so little sleep. The first week, I somehow managed on about 1.5 hrs per 24 hours all week long. Including the night before she was born, when I was dealing with induction. Thankfully, this has at least doubled in her 2nd week of life. Still, I don't think my dear husband could get by on so little. I have caught myself dozing on occasion while nursing (yay, oxytocin!) but actual sleep is precious and far between. I never know if she will be asleep for 5 minutes or 50, so it's hard to say "sleep when she sleeps," because I may just get woken up right after I finally zonk (not worth it!). Eventually I know I'll need to get more sleep, but for now I'm pretty impressed by how well mothers are built to survive on so little.

Yesterday we got Amelie's newborn pictures done, and today we went to look at the proofs.
